Mark was born and raised in Avon, New York.  He was on the fast track as a young jazz/rock artist. During his years of touring as a professional drummer, he got involved in the world of drugs and the occult. But in 1978 in Dallas, Texas he had a life-changing experience. On that day Jesus Christ appeared to him and gave him a new purpose for living.

Following this tremendous encounter with the Lord, he walked away from his professional music career and left his life and talent in the hands of God. He submitted to a local church and began to study the Bible and seek God’s will for his life.  Three years later he was ordained as a minister of the Gospel.

In 1981, Mark and his wife Rhonda, received a call from God to go to South Africa. For over nine years they traveled teaching the Word of God in hundreds of Churches, Bible Colleges, Schools, Universities, Military Bases, Orphanages, Prisons and many Diamond & Gold mines. They saw thousands of people accept Christ!

God then called them back to the United States for the revival that is sweeping across America.  Mark’s dynamic high energy, down-to-earth teaching style utilizes both his speaking ability and custom digitized sound effects, thus using sound teaching to declare the Word of the Lord.  

Whether preaching from behind the pulpit or playing the drums, one of the most appreciated aspects of his ministry is the use of the prophetic gifts.  At times, during the course of a service, the Holy Spirit may instruct him to minister on the drums or symphonic gong.  During these moments, people’s lives have been deeply touched and often experience a sudden manifestation of the presence of God. 

Mark plays for an audience of ONE – “The Creator of the Universe”!   Everybody else gets the overflow and all the Glory goes to God!  

Today, Dr. Mark Temperato (Th. D., D. Min., D.D.) is the Pastor of New Life Family Church in Lakeville, NY.  He also travels out as an Evangelist as the Lord leads.

Mark is also a volunteer Fireman and Chaplain of the Lakeville Fire Department since 2007.  

He and his wife Rhonda were married in 1979 and have been in fulltime ministry since 1981.  They have 5 very blessed children, David & Samantha, Lisa Marie, Michael John & Mark Jr.

God is using Mark’s fresh approach as a catalyst to WAKE UP America from the shadow of indifference that is sweeping across this nation.
